Calcium Formate

Chemical Name Calcium Formate
CAS Number 544-17-2
Product Number BC000001
Molecular Formula C2H2CaO4
Molecular Weight 130.1129

Usage:

1. For construction industry

Calcium formate can be used as accelerators in construction mortars for cement-based. Such as dry-mix mortars, Concrete products, Self-leveling screeds, Renders, plasters, tile adhesive and so on.

It can spread up the setting time and shorten the condensation time. Especially in winter, it can obviously shorten the condensation time under lower temperature outside.

The dosage for plaster, tile adhesive and concrete: 0.5%-1.0%, max 2.5%. The dosage rate is growing follow the movement of decreasing temperature.

In summer, only 0.2%-0.5% dosage will have obvious early strength effect.

2. For feed grade

Calcium formate is also one kind of the additives for feedstuff. It can increase the body weight of the mammal. It can promote the appetite of the piglets and reducing the rate of scouring Within the ahead several weeks after the piglets are weaned, using 1.5% calcium formate to the feedstuff, It can improve the growth rate of more than 12% and improve the feed conversion rate of 4%. Adding 1.3% calcium formate to the daily ration of piglets, it can obvious improve the feed conversion rate of 7%-8%.It can lower the incidence of diarrhea in piglets by using 0.9% Calcium formate.
